Overview

The Business Operations & Performance Analyst will work directly with the Senior Director of Energy Resources to support business performance monitoring, operational efficiency, and project coordination. This role will be responsible for analyzing organizational processes, identifying inefficiencies, and using data to develop actionable solutions. This position involves conducting detailed business analyses, support efforts to streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement across the department.

This role will be instrumental in providing data-driven insights, improving team utilization, supporting project allocation, and coordinating with project managers to enhance productivity and alignment with strategic goals.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented industrial engineer with strong analytical, organizational, and process-building skills, able to translate data into meaningful business actions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Business Analysis & Reporting
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including utilization, efficiency, sales, and employee performance trends.
    • Identify operational inefficiencies or underperforming areas, recommend actionable improvements, and track implementation progress.
    • Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports to track department performance and KPIs.
    • Support forecasting and capacity planning processes by consolidating data from multiple sources.
    • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support business decision-making.
    • Prepare data-driven presentations to communicate trends, findings, and recommendations to the Senior Director of ER.
  • Operational Support & Coordination
    • Act as a key coordination point between the Senior Director of ER and project managers to ensure smooth communication and follow-up on ongoing projects.
    • Prepare meeting materials and provide operational support to the Senior Director of ER, including data preparation, team follow-ups, and coordination of priorities.
    • Support the Senior Director of ER in planning, organizing, and monitoring departmental objectives, priorities, and deliverables.
    • Coordinate project allocation and maintain an updated tracker of resource assignments, workload distribution, and delivery timelines.
    • Facilitate cross-departmental communication and alignment, ensuring stakeholders are informed and deadlines are met.
    • Monitor progress of ongoing initiatives and flag delays or bottlenecks and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Process Development & Continuous Improvement
    • Review and enhance existing processes and workflows to improve efficiency and cross-functional coordination.
    • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring business and operational processes.
    • Ensure consistent use of approved templates, scripts, and tools across teams to standardize deliverables and maintain quality.
    • Support implementation of new tools, process automation, and reporting frameworks to improve visibility and efficiency.
    • Support initiatives that promote operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement across the team.
    • Research and recommend best practices and tools to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications

The candidate selected for this position will be a proactive, detail-oriented, and driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
  • 3–4 years of experience in business analysis, operations, or strategy support roles (preferably within engineering or consulting industries).
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, automation). Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Monday.com (or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills with solid business acumen.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify insights, and communicate results clearly.
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
  • Experience with process documentation and standardization.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
