EPE is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UIX Engineer with a focus in developing modern web based front end solutions to be part of a dynamic and highly technical team. In this role, you will lead the design and usability of the front-end components and interfaces for EPE software products that serve the energy industry. You will have opportunities to work with the latest technologies and contribute to a growing portfolio of products that are helping shape the future of power systems.

Responsibilities

How you can make an impact:

  • Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process for modern, web-based front-end solutions, from conceptualization to final implementation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into intuitive, user-friendly designs that meet user needs and business objectives
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI standards to ensure consistency across products.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to refine and optimize the user experience.
  • Stay up to date with emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices, and apply them to enhance EPE’s software products.
  • Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Use your expertise to ensure that EPE’s software products deliver exceptional, user-centered designs that improve usability and empower clients in the energy industry.

 

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) as a Senior Software Engineer or Front-End Developer, with a strong emphasis on modern web technologies.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design for complex, web-based applications.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-centered design solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Lucid).
  • Deep understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to work with design teams to create visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Experience collaborating with developers using React.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • A passion for the energy sector and a desire to make a meaningful impact through technology.
  • Deep knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to work with design teams to create visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces.

Location: This position is remote US

Travel:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
