Reporting directly to our marketing leadership, the Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will lead product marketing initiatives, including strategic messaging, content development, sales enablement, and the creation of engaging multimedia assets (video, demos, digital campaigns). This role primarily focuses on our software platforms, InSights and ENER-i, but will also support broader marketing efforts. 

Responsibilities

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Product Positioning & Messaging:
    • Clearly define and communicate differentiated value propositions for EPE’s software solutions.
    • Develop compelling, segment-specific messaging and positioning frameworks for diverse energy-industry audiences.
  • Content & Multimedia Creation:
    • Produce high-quality video content, product demos, and interactive digital assets showcasing product capabilities and customer success stories.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to storyboard, script, produce, and launch compelling multimedia and written content (case studies, webinars, sell sheets, web pages).
  • Sales Enablement:
    • Develop and manage impactful sales collateral, presentations, competitive battle cards, and objection-handling guides.
    • Train and coach sales team members on effective use of product materials, demos, and video content in sales cycles.
    • Proactively manage and optimize content using newer content development tools on sales engagement platforms (Descript, eWebinar, Aligned).
    • Support both software product owners, sales, and events marketing professionals in designing and executing on highly engaging, in-person event demos.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Lead product update and feature launch activities, clearly articulating business value, driving demand generation, and supporting sales pipeline acceleration.
    • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and sales to ensure alignment in go-to-market strategies and content execution.
  • Data & Analytics:
    • Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics.
    • Leverage analytics from video engagement and sales enablement platforms to enhance content effectiveness and optimize customer journeys.
  • Broader Marketing Support:
    • Support the creation and management of marketing assets (including video content and digital materials) for EPE’s energy resources business unit.
    • Identify opportunities to cross-promote consulting and software solutions, driving holistic customer engagement.

 

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in software-focused Product Marketing roles, ideally in energy tech, utilities, SaaS, or similarly technical B2B markets.

  • Demonstrable experience creating compelling multimedia assets (video content, recorded product demos, interactive content).

  • Hands-on proficiency with video-editing and demo-production platforms (Descript, Loom, Camtasia) and sales enablement tools (Aligned, Highspot, Seismic).

  • Strong project and vendor management capabilities, with a track record of delivering high-quality content on time and within budget.

  • Exceptional storytelling and messaging skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging materials.

  • Comfortable being on video and audio and delivering demos for live and on demand experiences, virtual and in-person.

  • Highly analytical, data-driven decision-maker experienced in performance measurement, optimization, and reporting.

  • Comfortable collaborating across diverse teams (product, sales, engineering, customer success) in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background or familiarity with energy markets (renewables, utilities, grid management).
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems (HubSpot, Salesforce).

Location: This position will be located in Austin, TX

Travel:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
