Join our innovative team as a Staff Engineer I/II/III, where you will play a crucial role in designing and coordinating modern and reliable electric distribution systems. This position is based in Panama and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality and impactful projects.

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Field Work: Conduct onsite surveys of electric distribution systems, documenting conditions and collecting data for design purposes. Work closely with construction crews to ensure the implementation of designs.
  • Design Tasks: Utilize AutoCAD, GIS systems, and pole loading software (Ocalc, SpidaCalc) to design overhead and underground electric distribution systems. Prepare comprehensive design packages including drawings, material lists, and cost estimates.
  • Project Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between design teams, field personnel, and stakeholders. Manage schedules, resolve field issues, and support construction phases.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical insights, and address design challenges.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and project deliverables in alignment with client specifications and timelines.

Performance Criteria:

  • Timely and precise completion of field surveys and design packages.
  • Effective coordination of projects and resolution of design and field issues.
  • Competent management of multiple tasks and consistent communication across project teams.

 

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here what’s needed:

  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites as needed. 
  • Staff Engineer I: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Familiarity with distribution systems, AutoCAD, GIS systems, and pole loading software (Ocalc, SpidaCalc). 
  • Staff Engineer II: Same as above, with 2-3 years of experience in distribution system design and proven ability to manage design tasks from inception to completion as well as some field experience.
  • Staff Engineer III: Same as above, but with 3-4 years of experience and expertise in project coordination and resolving complex field issues. Demonstrated success in leading project coordination and providing field support.

Location: This position will be located in Panama City, Panama

Travel:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
