Responsibilities

How you can make an impact:

As an In-House Legal Intern at EPE, you will assist in drafting a contract playbook, reviewing agreements, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role offers hands-on experience in contract management, risk assessment, and legal coordination within a corporate setting.

  • Assist in drafting a company contract playbook. 
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts such as NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts, ensuring they align with EPE's requirements. 
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to identify key contract terms, ensuring consistency and compliance. 
  • Support the tracking and completion of contract approvals, signatures, and fulfillment. 
  • Organize and maintain contract files, ensuring accurate records of agreements and correspondence. 
  • Assist in tracking contract compliance with internal policies and legal requirements. 
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and document concerns for review.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

 

  • Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or related legal studies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and identify potential risks in contracts and legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage contract records and tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management tools.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Prior internship or experience in contract review or legal research (preferred).

 

Location: This position will be in person in Austin, TX. Start date for this position is May 27th, 2025 and will conclude on August 15th, 2025. The position is 40 hours a week.
