Electric Power Engineers is in search of a Contracts Specialist who can work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure contract compliance for Statements of Work, Work Orders, Change Orders, and other agreements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Drafting and Reviewing Contracts & Agreements: Create, analyze, and revise various types of contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and partnership agreements, ensuring they meet EPE's needs and comply with legal requirements.
  • Reviewing Terms: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and other parties to ensure consistency in contracts, agreements, or MSAs.
  • Managing Contract Execution: Ensure all parties fulfill their contractual obligations and that contracts are executed properly.
  • Maintaining Documentation and Records: Keep detailed records of all contract-related documents and correspondence, maintaining an organized system of physical and digital contract records. Utilize technology and tools to analyze data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal departments, to resolve inquiries and challenges, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Compliance Tracking: Monitor compliance with contract terms and relevant regulations.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks within contract terms and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing regular reports on contract performance, key metrics, and trends to provide insights for senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process optimization initiatives within the contract administration and management function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Innovation: Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and staying up to date with contract management software and artificial intelligence trends

Qualifications

  • Technology Savvy: Ability to create efficiencies utilizing AI or other tools.
  • Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Detail and Process-Oriented: Experienced in improving and standardizing agreements and contract management processes, balancing speed and agility with internal controls and risk management.
  • Self-Driven and Entrepreneurial: Willing to step outside of role where needed to support the company’s needs; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent Organizational, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks Simultaneously: Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative: Ability to work with a wide range of teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Contract Management Software: Such as Conga and Salesforce.

Location: This position will be located at our corporate offices located in Austin, Tx

Travel:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
