Electric Power Engineers, Inc. (EPE) works with clients on a global scale designing solutions for renewable energy (solar/wind/battery storage), Generation Interconnection, Transmission Planning, Distribution Planning, Distributed Energy Resources (DER), and Smart Grids.

How you can make an impact:

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern. Under the guidance of the Business Development team, the intern will gain valuable experience in market research, strategic planning, and client engagement, while developing skills in data analysis, lead generation, and professional communication in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, partners, and opportunities. 
    • Assist in the development and execution of business strategies. 
    • Create and maintain a database of prospective leads. 
    • Support outreach efforts, including drafting emails and setting up meetings with prospective clients. 
    • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for business growth. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives. 
    • Prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities. 

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Undergraduate student at a four-year university seeking internship opportunities in business development, analytics, or economics. 
    • Junior or senior student preferred
  • Maintain excellent customer and inter-company relationships.  
  • Showcase strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Showcase detail and attention in repetitive items.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency 
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments/project components simultaneously 
     

 

Location: This position will be in person at our office in Champaign IL. Start date for this position is May 27th, 2025 and will conclude on August 15th, 2025. The position is 40 hours a week. 

Travel: Little to none
