Responsibilities

We are looking for a curious and motivated Solutions Architect Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, including software implementation, rationalization, and system integration. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical experience in evaluating and optimizing IT systems while developing technical and analytical skills. Your work will support our clients’ goals by creating streamlined, integrated, and innovative technology solutions.

 

How you can make an impact... 

  • Assist in assessing and documenting technology solutions to align with client business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Contribute to efforts to evaluate existing systems, identify redundancies, and recommend strategies to optimize software portfolios.
  • Support the design and execution of system integration plans, ensuring smooth interaction between applications and data sources.
  • Help with configuration, testing, and deployment during software implementation phases.
  • Research emerging technologies and industry trends to provide creative recommendations for client challenges.
  • Develop and refine technical documents, including workflows, diagrams, and integration plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers, to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure deliverables meet high standards and expectations.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here what’s needed: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in enterprise software systems and how they integrate and align with organizational goals.
  • Basic understanding of system integration concepts such as APIs, middleware, and data mapping.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a passion for teamwork and learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an interest in using visualization or project management tools.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving.
  • Interest in the power industry, including systems like ADMS, DERMS, or DSO technologies, is a plus.

  

Location: This position will be in person in Champaign IL. Start date for this position is May 27th, 2025 and will conclude on August 15th, 2025. Position is 40 hours a week. 

Travel: Little to none
