We are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Enterprise Architect Intern to contribute to projects that define and enhance technology strategies for our clients. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in designing enterprise frameworks, analyzing systems, and supporting digital transformation initiatives. You will work alongside seasoned professionals to address complex IT challenges and create scalable, integrated, and forward-looking technology solutions that align with organizational goals.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Develop enterprise architecture models, including current and future-state schematics, to guide technology investments.
  • Support evaluation and selection of technologies and platforms based on strategic business needs and frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Collaborate on IT modernization, cloud adoption, and enterprise system integration initiatives.
  • Analyze and document dependencies across applications, data, and infrastructure to ensure alignment with architectural principles.
  • Conduct gap analyses between current and target architectures, recommending actionable steps to address deficiencies.
  • Create detailed diagrams, reports, and presentations to communicate architectural concepts and project progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what's needed:  

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., CIM, TOGAF, Zachman) and principles of technology strategy and governance.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing, data management, and application integration concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and identify areas for optimization.
  • Proficiency in visualization and documentation tools, such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other project management applications.
  • Previous internship or coursework in IT strategy, architecture, or consulting is a plus.

  

Location: This position will be in person in Champaign IL. Start date for this position is May 26th, 2025 and will conclude on August 15th, 2025. Position is 40 hours a week.
