Responsibilities

How you can make an impact:

The Business Operations intern is an integral part of the evolving Operations at EPE & will report to the Business Operations Manager. This role will also get exposure to the EPE leadership team and will be responsible for envisioning and building business processes, business intelligence reports and dashboards that allow EPE to maximize financial and operational efficiency for our fast-growing Consulting and Services practice.  Success in this role will be shown by the ability to be analytical, think outside of the box, and use data to drive decision making. 

 

  • Maintain several reporting processes, such as business opportunities, client contract documents, and reports, with an understanding of different data sources and utilizing JIRA to build these process flows.
  • Create and design dashboards within EPE’s Business Intelligence platform and develop a thorough understanding of Salesforce.
  • Analyze business data to identify key areas of improvement and assist the team in evaluating current and future business decisions regarding financial metrics.
  • Act as a key point of contact for both EPE employees and clients, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
  • Assist the Business Operations Manager with various items, such as drafting business materials.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, a bachelor’s degree program with a major in an engineering concentration (Industrial Engineering Preferred). 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to drive analysis and develop deliverables. 
  • Proven analytical skills, including the ability to gather data, analyze and present recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Professional communication skills
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Confident in or has the ability to learn Salesforce, JIRA and BI Applications

  

Location: This position will be in person in Austin, TX. Start date for this position is May 27th, 2025 and will conclude on August 15th, 2025. The position is 40 hours a week.
